How will my videos be used?
The Sound TV is watched by some of the world’s biggest brands and advertising agencies. Their job is to create stuff that young people actually want so you telling them about your life will help them do that.
You and the other Sound TV members will also be able to view and comment on all the videos. We hope that by sharing ideas the community members from UK, USA and Canada will be inspired and maybe even learn something new about what it is to be young in 2010...
Will I get anything for my effort?
You mean apart from the satisfaction of being able to tell us what you think and seeing your film on The Sound TV? Yes you will. Each month 100 videos will be selected from those submitted (the quicker you submit your film the more chance you have of being selected).
The most viewed films will find their way to the month’s top 10 films. The number 1 film of the month will receive $100.
Each video that is accepted will get $40 (paid in local currency).
The number 1 film of the month will receive $250.
That’s a 1/10 chance of getting some real cash. Good odds.
What do we have to talk about?
Every month we will open a new TV channel with a new question for you to answer. It could be a question about how you socialize, your opinions on politics, something in the news, music, relationships. Etc. The questions will always be interesting and thought provoking.
When you register you will need to give us an email address so we can contact you with new question for each month. We won’t give this email address to anyone else.
What kind of video are looking for?
We want your films to answer the question in an honest and interesting way.
And we want it to be no longer than 5 mins!
Asking your friends and parents about the question or filming in a place that informs us about the issue will likely go down very well.
We’re not interested in special effects, acting, jackassery or anything like that.
Is there anything else that I will get from signing up and taking part?
The Sound conducts research all over the world and we pay up to $500 for young people to take part. If you register with The Sound TV we will likely get in touch with you to take part in other interesting research studies in 2010.
